hot summer days of yesteryears

Yesterday evening I took D out to the lawn next to the pool area for her to hang out. She sits nicely on grass and pulls them all out. Thankfully she doesn't put any of it in her mouth. Only leaves. For some reason she differentiates discriminates between them! It was still a hot evening. The temperature was somewhere still at 90F (33C) at 7:30PM! ( Read more... )

I notice as people get more mobile and we get spread out, those connections between cousins gets lost.
One of the sad things about modern times.

I barely know my cousins. Mostly because they never stay in touch. ah well. For me people are family if they are willing to be in touch with you as much as you want to as well. Blood relations is just a bonus. meh.

yeah me too.. it's sad though that all these cousins don't stay in touch. I used to get very upset over it. Now I am over it. ah well....

you really shouldn't eat mangoes fresh off the tree... especially the unripe ones. They ooze out this acid that burns your lips! eeeks... ;)

ripe ones ooze our lots of juice and gets all messy... then it becomes hard to hide what you did from mom! ;)

I am now in India and have seen my cousins once so far this month!! And looks like it might be just one more time!! people live such busy lives and so far away from each other!!
