I had a form to fill out for school. It was the first form I had filled out. But there was one question for which I didn’t know the answer. Dad was around and I went to ask him for the answer.

no, i never asked. I think I had asked when I was in a rush to go to school and then I was shy around my dad and so didn't ask!

I remember a similar incident...It was around the time of the Mandal commission in India...I distinctly remember asking my Father if we were Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe..that left my father laughing...I was quite disappointed to learn that I was neither...it was as if I am nothing special...was the same as everyone else :)
