I'm giggling like an idiot. I lost it when I got to this part:

"Hey. Me and Maka fell through because she almost shot me when I tried to surprise her."

"I hope that you know by now that surprises and cops don't usually go well together."

So I take it that it's my turn to write again? ::rolls up sleeves:: I'm imagining a chorus of Hawkes, Stella, Flack and Maka (all eating their respective sweets) telling Danny to just ask her out already.
