Today I would like to present to you something that comes around every year: The (Evil) English Assignment.  Last year said assignment was a 3D map of Odysseus' journey- and this year, a crazy paper written as a group.  And did I mention that it counts as a test grade?

Your English assignments DO sound really evil! I've not read the crucible so I can't really say which is which but it just seems like a ridiculous thing to ask people to do and count as a test grade!
