It's about time I wrote these up for Miss Martha Jones.
If I find my way through the darkest of days
will I laugh about the things that kept me awake?
But if my greatest fears paints itself so crystal clear,
Will I run away or will I hide?
And if I don't come home tonight just know I try my best to fight, please, don't think I plan to lose to the night.
My Heart Never Sleeps - It's complicated and yet simple at the same time. Somehow it feels as if she's known them her whole life. They're like children, yet not at all. They're her boys. She loves both of them in a way she couldn't put into words if you asked her, too, which is okay... there are a lot of times she doesn't need words to communicate with either of them. And she would do absolutely anything for them. (The Doctor [
thatsortofaman] and Desmond D. Descant [
nowherexboy] aka OT3)
Once in Every Lifetime - Her Guardian. She didn't expect even after six months of living on the other side of the Rift to have a Guardian Angel of her own. It didn't seem logically possible and yet here he is. Guarding her, connected to her in ways that she can't logically explain. (Eloi [
paranoideloi])
Perfect Time of Day - Martha's best friends. She spends time with them (when she takes time off to spend), opens up to them, cares about them. They mutually look out for each other and enjoy each others' company. She'll go to them when she has problems that she can't go to her boys about. (Sally Sparrow [
wontblink], Captain Jack Harkness [
hey-capn-jack and Morona)
I Believe in You - These people bring out Martha's motherly instincts, more so than most. They're like younger siblings to her (though not necessarily younger than her in age), who she is especially careful to watch over and give advice to whenever she can. She's very protective of them. (Regulus, Remus, the TARDIS [
alt-tardis] and OPEN to two more)
Song Unsung - Martha was tortured by three people. Two of them are now dead, not of her hand. The last one is still alive. Martha has never been one for revenge or violence... but that was before the torture, before the anger released inside her when a knife and a gun were forced inside her and her body was tossed around like trash. She has a vendetta. If given the chance, she would kill Commander Shepard. Without thought. (Commander Shepard [
fightyourfoes])
The Sirens Inside You, waiting to step forward - The way Martha deals with being tortured, with the rape and the pain. Say, hello, to bad ass!Martha. It involves a lot that Martha would never even consider doing before the torture. She can be herself in the hotel, as much as that's possible anymore, and she can sneak out and be whoever she wants, a druggie, a slut. Just as long as she forgets the truth. (Sark [
sarkraticmethod] Open to whoever thinks they want to help or join with her in... the stuff)
That Lonesome Road - The one person, demon, supernatural who manages to get into her heart and twist it around completely, hurting her like she's never been hurt before. They will change her. And not for the better. (pending serious plotting Elashte [
elashte])
One Last Wish - Part of Martha's abilities (though she doesn't know this yet) allows her to literally bring someone back from death (as long as it's within five minutes of their death). It's like CPR only sped up and much more effective. However, doing so nearly kills her in the process and each time she does it her powers weaken and she weakens. Martha has probably about five people she can bring back from death. The strain on her heart from the sixth would probably kill her.
So if you're interested in experiencing your character dying without any severe repercussions as in never getting to play them again. There are 5 spots open, but they can't happen all at once and there has to be certain circumstances surrounding it which we'll discuss later. The first time she does it, she doesn't actually think it'll work, it's a act of incredible grief and desperation so the first person who dies will probably mean an incredible amount to her, to make her illogically think to try. (Des [
nowherexboy], again, pending serious plotting, Elashte [
elashte], Rose Tyler [
belle-heaven] TWO MORE OPENINGS)
