I hate the Winter Crush. And no, I'm not referring to a crush on a guy (although I probably ought to stop developing crushes on college students, even if they are impressed by my vocabulary). Yeah, my life did a major change starting at 29, & culminating in my leaving my husband, quitting my job & going back to school all within a six month period shortly after I turned 30. I think a good part of my dissatifaction right now is the fact that I feel like I've stalled again & I need to figure out how to get moving again.

Have you ever done The Artist Way by Julia Cameron? It's a 12 week process, but I have found the process invaluable in helping to answer some of these questions. It's usually described as a way to unblock creativity but it's awesome as a life coaching tool. If nothing else, the regular journaling of morning pages is a good idea to get in touch with solutions to what you want.

I've done the Artist's Way- it's an interesting program. I think the current issue has as much with figuring out exactly what it is I want & then figuring out how to get there.

OK, I haven't been able to work in my studio because it's too damn cold in there (there's no heat in the basement). There's no way in hell I am going to go hang outside any more than is strictly necessary.

Yeah, I need to have a sit-down with the folks at the local Small Business Development Center.

And it's possible that I could still develop a program where I work with at-risk teens & then take them overseas to help teach metalsmithing to people in the third world. I've always liked the idea of working with at-risk teens.
