Murder Isn't "Pro-Life", Dipshit

There was an interesting painting at the Spring Show in the Erie Art Museum. It was titled "Pro-Life" & was done largely in the style of a medieval illuminated manuscript. this guy just made soooooo many "pro-life" groups look like Westboro Baptist ... about damn time. They're worse than lynch mobs, but they claim to be morally better. I call bullshit! If you want to defend the right to be born, you also have to defend the right to STAY alive.

I'm sure that this murder is going to MULTIPLY the number of volunteer "clinic escorts" around the entire country.

If the clinic in Erie is still open, it probably needs as many escorts as it can scrounge.

The clinic in Erie never had more than a small handful of protesters- and they were usually from Pittsburgh, weirdly enough. And they were relegated to walking up & down the sidewalk outside the parking lot. Plus, the building was in one of the big office/medical buildings on Peach & State between 16th & 18th- they had no way of knowing who was going to that clinic or the Community Health Net OB/Gyn services or any of the other myriad office. It's pretty much an ideal set-up for an abortion clinic, actually, & they've never needed escorts at all. Unfortunately, there were some serious questions about whether the doc was really licensed or not. It's not a good sign when even the local NOW chapter doesn't feel they can endorse the place. :-/

PS- I sent you a message via LJ the other day- I don't seem to have your regular email addy anymore. Could you drop me an e-mail at smithing_chick@yahoo.com?
