Quick Follow Up on a news item I posted about before, in which a school principle was banning a student's senior picture because he was holding a prop sword, claiming that it violated the school's zero-tolerance policy on weapons. omg.. that is just.. *laughs* unbelievable! if the school's mascot has a sword and a GUN what kind of leg does the principle think he is standing on? hello???? i have to know how this ends, please!

I'll update as I get info. It's been making all the rounds on the SCA lists, of course.

One other thing was that the principle told the family they could put it in the ads section if they wanted- but they'd have to pay for the ad. So apparently weapons are OK if you kick in a little extra money.
