Again, he hasn't done much, although he did come out of the woodworks to re-activate his clones and sell them to Kitty and Mike. So, now Kitty and Mike, with the One Ring in their possession, also have an army of Smith clones for their minions. Much more effective than orcs, if I do say so myself.
