Boredom

I've been having a boring, lazy day. Today is my Sunday, and I figured I'd relax and take it easy. Sleeping in was the number one thing to do on my list. However, minutes after Mike left to go to school, he called and asked me to find a flash drive he needed for class. I scoured the entire house, but couldn't find anything. He was in a dark mood ( Read more... )

You wouldn't believe the weather they've been open for. Hell, we had a hurricane last year that washed roads away (which is something we never ever get) and I'm sure they were open for at least half the day. They never close if they can help it. AND they're open today so I have to go in. My supervisor texted me and was all "yay, we're open!" and I wanted to respond "I've already missed by bus this morning, if you're so excited about being open, YOU go in!"

*puts on grumpy pants*

Yeah. :( We call it Sheila's Brush, the last big snow storm after St. Patrick's. We've had snow in April before, and even if it's not snowing, our snow usually lasts around on the ground and in the woods until at least May. Our summer is really July to September. =/ But then, lately we haven't been getting snow until January, so that's pretty good.

I'm jealous. I live in the foggiest city in Canada. :( Sun is a luxury here! Actually, that's not true. It can get quite nice for a few weeks in the summer. :p

I don't work in the mall, but the non-profit I work for has a store there, and for some reason the rest of the stores they own have to follow mall policy (which makes zero sense as the other stores aren't even close to the mall!) We only close 7 days out of the entire year, though the mall store closes on all stat holidays. I'm really sick of working on Canada Day when everyone else is out enjoying the festivities.

But yeah, being told you have to work when it's risky to get there is just ridiculous. I ended up having to work that day and the storm kept all the customers away! I didn't make enough money in sales that day for them to even be able to pay my salary, so they were actually negative money! Why they'd choose to stay open is beyond me.
