I could just cheat and review SBBC fics that I've read that month, but that would feel like cheating.

Most often now, I find myself reviewing friends. I can be honest with them, as I know the limits of how much crit they can/can't take. If I do read a fic that I love and have no criticism for, then I'll review it. I have run rather dry on fics I was already reading, though, so I have to explore the queue. *grumbles*

I get what you mean about making yourself review. Honestly, while I was moving, out of time, and all that (plus, too stupid to take a hiatus), it was so hard to get my requirements done. I was tired and just wanted to write things, not read. Horrid of me, I know, but when I'm tired, I'm effing selfish. :D

I think I'll probably end up doing that at some point, if I stay in SPEW past this summer. Because I procrastinate and never get things done.

I usually feel more comfortable reviewing for strangers/people I don't know well, actually. I think most of my reviews are for Slyths or members I don't know very well.

You were absolutely mad to not take a hiatus. I'm still astounded that you managed to get things done that month.

Seriously, i can give you a list of people who would love a SPEW review and you could be whatever you wanted with them. Actually, Emma deserves one in the worst way, and her fics are lovely. I might even do SPEW buddies and beg for her to be my buddy. :)

You'll do the right thing for you, whatever that may be. Just remember, when you're thinking about leaving, what made you want to join in the first place. That will be a kicker for you in one direction or another.
