Well that wasn't so bad. I hope the next prison we're in has better food though. I'm starving for something decent. You'd think they could serve at least a little rice with this stuff.

Okay. I'm not sure how deeply we're going to be investigated, but just on the off chance that someone tried to cross-reference our names they might find a record of me in Ivona's military files and there's a few details there that...well, they wouldn't look good, given the current circumstances.

I'd like to think that both of you would believe me if I told you that it's got nothing to do with Doma or the war. I'm not a traitor or a spy or an agent of any kind. I'm not working in anyone's interests except ours. I would have had Lavi change my name on the records but I wasn't sure things would go this far, and, well, there were other reasons...Probably not good ones, but I thought you should know.

Oh, well, I might be a little worried. Especially for Komachi, you know? And Kambei...he's got a reputation here in Ivona. He's probably not the only one, either. It just makes things a little awkward. I don't know if we should start thinking of a contingency plan to get out of this or just hope for the best.
