Hallmark channel brings us such gold as Walker Texas Ranger reruns and Golden Girls. Also, there are the movies like "A Wonderful Heart" or "Your Heart Lives In My Soul" or "Blah blah Heart blah blah". Do they not have it in Canada? I guess Hallmark Channel is just the American dream: shitty programming 24/7, 365. But they play M*A*S*H so I like it.

We have channels with similar programming but I'm pretty sure we don't have that. At least, I know it's not on basic cable. (I have not had cable for 2 years so I'm kind of out of touch with all the newfangled channels.) ...Except I want it, because I love Golden Girls A LOT. In my circle of friends, I am Rose. Annnnd back to reading.

But it wasn’t just the cold, was it? Or the mentality back east. There was more there that he had left behind, that tugged at places in his heart that he had assumed were buried.
Ohhhhh, I love that line. Poor Ed. :(

I absolutely adore the little details about what Ed thinks everyone at the show would be doing. It gives us a lovely little glimpse into everyone's personality, particularly through showing and not just telling, which I really like.

Maybe you’d get so cold and so drunk that snuggling up next to this friend would seem perfectly normal in that abnormal way; your lips against their neck seeming to make sense because it was just too cold to behave otherwise.
....Yes.

“Yeah. I know.” There was no explanation, no apology, but Ed appreciated it. It seemed oddly in tune with the rest of their relationship. No hollow words would cheapen the honesty.
More love for that line!

“No, no, I think you’ve got my attention pretty well at this point.”HA! Well, I guess hot bathroom secks will do that ( ... )

Yay!

That whole section on what it would have been like if the strike happened years ago made me grin. Now I really want to watch episodes from that era.

“Yeah, but they’re all half hoping I fail so I’ll go back.”

*cough* I hate to say it, but I have hoped that before. That or he gets as big as Steve.

That last line was hillarious.

Love it, man.

PS: undue -- I think you mean undo

OMG, haven't read it yet, but there is definitely not enough Rob/Ed anymore. Better comment once I'm done reading, but for now, OMG I LOVE YOU!!

Actually, I was reading this half as a continuation of Fast times at NAMBLA high :-) I love the way you write these two. They're both kids at heart but there's something almost dignified about the way they care for each other.

So thank you for making the strike a little bit easier to digest for today. Nicely done!

I don't usually go for Rob/Ed (except if they're in high school :-) ), but I liked this a lot. The perfect overlap of friendship and more than. And I liked Ed's imagining what would have happened if the strike was a few years earlier.

"Yeah, but they’re all half hoping I fail so I’ll go back.” Um, guilty?
