Sherlock cocked his head and squatted, brushing away the leaves that had collected in John’s hair. He gave him a considering look, something like fondness on his face. Quirking his mouth into a queer smile, he stood again and regarded John.

“Just repaying the favour,” he said simply.

This is beautiful. I love this concept, and your writing really conveys the emotion of the meetings between Sherlock and all the Johns. I love the line where Sherlock asks him if he is a just post-pubescent John Watson. It's like asherlock is carefully observing each John specimen. :)
