The language in this piece is wonderful -- there are some really original and witty imagery here.

Your Denis and Jon are also scarily in character. I just saw one of Jon's 1994 performances when he's wearing that same sweater. And I come here and see him in print form.

okayokayso. your Denis is perfect. your Jon voice always rocked but I've never read you doing Denis and he's indescribably perfect, oh that bitter fuck I love him so and you got him just dead-on. Specially when he cut down the anti-smoking dude. perfect. So many individual lines absolutely killed me, like the ones describing the kid right up to ”College fuckers”, and this one: The other guys chat and cut up and are generally stupid but Jon and Denis feel each other out in the vacuum of silence, but most of all “Slow down,” says the quiet voice inside him that sounds suspiciously like his mother. I actually laughed out loud there, yo.

and EEE OMG. I love it, it's snarky and slow-burny and in-character and I FUCKING LOVE on-the-road fic, and Jon/Denis omg you don't even know how squeeful this makes me. and I'm just delighted to hear it's almost done cause YAY MORE SOON WHEE. ♥
