I know the best way to get to New York. If it's a day game you can take the R7 for $7 each way. And then transfer to the Northeast Corridor train for $11 each way. This should take you to a subway station where you can go hunting for the #7 Shea-line subway.

I don't think I can make it to this particular series... but I intend on going to a Sunday game in NY later in the summer, and that's how I travel. And I have tickets for the Yankees game on June 5, and we're taking the train up rather than fighting traffic.
