You prolly did hear coyotes. We got lots of 'em in the Ozarks. I've never heard of them attacking people tho. Only cats. So as long as you're not small, furry, and walking on all fours, you should be okay. Be more afraid of crazy Deliverence-style hicks out there...

haha, how true. the couple that owned the canoe rental service we used this weekend definitely bordered on the Deliverance-style hicks. Not to be mean or anything... but they definitely fit the bill pretty well.

i'm not furry nor do i walk on all fours so from now on out, i'll just worry about bears.
