I realize I am a stranger, but I am also a fan of insects, so a couple of things I hope you find just as interesting:
- a buttefly comes out of a chrysalis, a moth comes out of a cocoon - butteflies don't push fluid into their wings to come out of a chrysalis; instead, it pushes fluid into the head and thorax, thus forcing the chysalis to come apart. it is only after leaving the chysalis that a butterfly begins the process of forcing the fluid into the wings, and then hours and hours drying them in the sun to harden them.
so basically, it is a pretty story with a decent moral to it, but direly needs a different metaphor ^^
(maybe the man waited for the butterfly to dry but he got bored and left since the process was taking so long ...)
