...is all about and almost only about Heath Ledger, and how his legacy deserves that little golden man in February. This film is a painful reminder that the world has truly lost one phenomenal actor.

I'm gonna have to go with the crowd that thinks Aaron Eckhart was pretty damn good as Harvey Dent too.

(haha, yeah i know, it may be all too glorified, this praise for Ledger, with his death and all)
i'm kinda bummed that they killed him (Dent) off right there :\
but well, if it's to suit the story's purposes... but then again, i don't think that really stuck out for the moviegoer who isn't observant enough.

Count me in as another who was very impressed by Eckhart's performance. Though, of course, Heath Ledger was amazing too!

this is where a passing spectator would ask, "what is Christian Bale doing?" funny how he let his villains run the show when it should be all about him, no? i dunno, he really just seemed like some "dark character" in the shadows.

I think this time around everyone was more or less "in-role". Besides obvious love for the Joker's psycho-manic-"nervous laughter-indcing" character, I thought Gary Oldman's performance was SUPERB. Wonderful characterisation of the tormented Commissioner.

I want to watch it pa nga eh, 3rd time around!

i've always respected Oldman. though, i think his... time to "peak" is yet to come... i just have a feeling. it's just that this movie just seemed to be (and at the right time too, because we can't see much of it anymore *frown*), Ledger's "peak". usually if something is so outstanding, i'd just voice out about that one thing and allow myself to forget about everything else because that one thing is just too good or that i think it's the credit due for that one thing. but yeah, everyone did pretty well (i can take the Gyllenhaal girl more seriously than the Cruise one, for one thing, lol).

my only gripe about this probably is. Bale. it really seemed like, he was just some unfeeling observer in the shadows. it would've been great if we really saw him struggle against The Joker's demonic psychological influences. i'm kind of surprised how "well" he took his childhood sweetheart's death too. O_O
