Has anyone read these? Ha! Read THG, Started a comm. etc. Highly recommended. And Catching Fire, the sequel comes out September 1, so just in time to tote with you to D*C.

Time Traveler's Wife I read a while back. I remember being not all that impressed by it to be honest. Sorta sad. eh.

Thank you!!!!! i've heard alot of good things about hunger games. so i'm pretty sure i'm going to get it and probly the sequel since i read so fast. lol.
yeah i'm not so sure about Time Travler's wife. usally books made into movies are not that grand to began with.
Do you have any more good book recs? i've kind of been out of the book loop becuase of college but i have a light class load this semster so that means more reading time. plus the five hour drive to atlatna and back will give me plenty of reading time :D

Haven't read much new stuff lately. If you enjoy mysteries, I highly recommend Tana French's In the Woods (or The Likeness, though ITW came first and I liked it a bit better). Really vibrant voice and I loved the central buddycop characters, they reminded me a bit of Kara and Lee's dynamic.

I think you'd love the Morganville Vampires series by Rachel Caine.

There are currently six books released and the seventh one comes out in November.

They are small books, a bit smaller than the Buffy companion books. But really great!

A little redundant since I'm sure you read about it on my LJ page, but I LOVED The Hunger Games. I also really enjoyed the Mortal Instruments series (about demons and demon hunters in NYC) - City of Bones, City of Ashes and City of Glass. Staying in the scifi genre, the Foundation books by Isaac Assimov are always good. Start with the robot books. I, Robot; The Caves of Steel; The Naked Sun; Robots of Dawn; etc. Hope this helps!
