One would think the very idea of death is something absolutely unheard of. This isn't the first murder in the city this year. Anywhere with such a large population has one pop up in the news every so often. I wouldn't be surprised if this was drug- or gang-related, as they often are ( Read more... )

Seriously, it's just a body.

It's the most exciting thing that's even happened in this place since I got here last month. At least it's something.

...I'm not sure if this attitude is better or worse...

Don't see how it could be worse.

Guess I'm looking on the bright side of things, you know?

I suppose as long as you're not orchestrating the murders or actively calling for more blood for some blood god there's not real harm done.

Oh well, yeah when you put it that way. But still, better safe than sorry yeah? Sides, long as it's not me. [Or anyone she mildly cared for at the moment.]

It isn't like either of us can really die again.

Yeahp, pretty much! But hey, I might be wanting to keep at least some of these people looking lively. How else could you get a good scare outta em right?

Regardless, sometimes it's hard to imagine such a scenario happened in a safe area like this, as cynical as it might sound to some. It's still hard to swallow and the like.

Personally, I think the best way to handle it is to keep calm and keep on eye on things.

In a secluded area with tons of wildlife that could potentially eat up the evidence? Indeed, it's completely unorthodox.

Now the only issue is calming people down.

To each their own, people grew up on different backgrounds after all.

Yes, the problem now is to calm everyone down.

This is true. I suppose I've spent too long in this city to remember what it's like to be in a place where this really was a rare occurrence.

I don't see what the big deal is about all this either, slick.Oh no! Somebody died! THAT'S something that's never happened before! Pfff!

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if whoever kicked the bucket is a ghost already anyway. So it's not like the guy's actually gone or anything.

I hope for his sake he isn't.

Why's that? Being a ghost isn't that bad, slick.

How is swatting an insect murder? If anything, there's too many of the stupid things.

A life is a life. How can you be sure that insect can't also take the shape of a human in this city?

Your point? I'm not going to watch my step just because oh, no, that stupid butterfly might be a human.

I don't expect you to. My point is that everyone who is only making a big deal out of this because it's a dead human this time may need to rethink their priorities.
