[Voile is, as per the usual, doing homework. You can hear her writing if you listen close enough. But she keeps pausing in between scribbles to talk.]

So we get a masquerade! I've never been to one before, but I've read about them.

I spoke with Pele on the network about her class. She seems interesting. Do you know her personally?

Uhmmmm. Personally? No, not really.

I mean, I'm going to take her class, but it's not as though we sit down for tea together or go shopping together or pick flowers together.

When I was growing up, I used to read stories about her and my trainer would tell me some as well. She's a grand being where I come from. Like a goddess of the earth!

I met Pele before she came to school here - we had an awesome fight! Man, she's tough - My shoulders were feeling loose and sore for a couple days after! She sure knows how to take a few lumps. We're gonna fight again some time soon, once she's settled in more. I'll let you know when so you can come watch me whup her.

I'm lookin' forward to the masquerade too. It's a ball and a costume party both - I'll save you a dance iffn you want it!

You should! It's gonna be awesome - she's a huge Dinosaur Pokemon! She's a match for my strength and her extra powers and abilities as a Pokemon really do a number on my speed! A real challenge where I can really cut loose? You have NO idea how little I get that!

[That's not a word Voile would use to define Pele. But before she can really pursue that line of thought, she's drawn onto nostalgia.

First prom at the school... Because the second one she couldn't remember being present for. And then she'd been gone for a good portion of time.]
