From the stands there was one person who was watching this match really carefully, non other then Green himself. He wanted to see how well Red's Pokemon have been doing and how this little Legendary would fair up.

"A-mazing." He was leaning on the wall near the exit folding his arms and looking at the ground, waiting for Manaphy to come out of the change room while he noticed Squirtle leaving in disappointment, he seemed to be in a hurry to talk to his trainer, made sense since he was pretty scrambled during the whole fight, Green knew his Pokemon would do sooo much better.

"You're pretty good after all, I didn't think you'd do so well against Red's Pokemon."

Manaphy suddenly looked up to find Green smugly (but in a congratulating way) smiling at him. Hearing the compliment, he he reddened slightly, despite his nervousness around the brash trainer.

"H-hello Green! And thank you for that...phi~ I guess training by myself paid off..."

"Hmph, it's not a big deal. I just know when I see a strong Pokemon." He closed his eyes and sighed while talking in a more serious tone.

"So what will it take for you to let me catch you?"

"..?"

Manaphy's antennae drooped...and the boy inwardly thought again about how obsessed Green was about adding him to the team. Although he befriended many trainers...his mother...Red...but they never had any intentions of catching him, oh no. Manaphy preferred being free and unhindered, so this was the most awkward situation he felt so far.

"I-I...like being without a trainer mana...I really wish you can respect it...."

"But just think of it, being a part of a team! You'd get to fight all kinds of Pokemon and be trained by me, who wouldn't want that?" He said in a more excited tone leaving his spot from the wall to come up and talk to manaphy infront of him.

"I've always wanted to have a legendary and you're the strongest I've seen so far!" He put all the warnings his grandfather gave him in the back of his mind, what disturbance of balance? Having one little Legendary in his Pokeball wasn't going to do anything.

He acctually wasn't sure why he wanted him as much as he did, cause he was a legendary, right?
