Eli went to that battling centre. She went to the back, into the men's bathrooms. She opened the out of order stall. Then the door inside that stall. She carried herself down the steps, through the corridors and into Majima's magnificent stadium. She was definitely there.
However. Majima was not.
Had Eli been sent on a wild goose chase? ...Again? The idea of being so thoroughly embarrassed two nights in a row made the snake's blood boil.
She stepped into the bright light in the center of the ring, her fists clenched at her sides. "Coward!" she yelled, thinking that maybe he'd have his cameras on her again. With that, she turned around to leave.
"Keep yer tits on," grumbled a voice from the shadows, "I been here all day."
There was a faint click-clack of Majima's snakeskin shoes against cement as he strolled leisurely down the opposite corridor. A faint ember could be seen from the cigarette in his mouth, and he wore a cheerful yellow addition to his head - a construction helmet.
A few of his men followed behind him - one passed him a clipboard to inspect, while the other held out an ashtray for his convenience. After a few signatures and a stubbed out butt, he dismissed them with a wave of his hand.
He took his sweet time getting up the steps into the ring itself, savouring the slow build up of tension, the deafening sound of silence in between his footsteps. Majima's face, normally a flurry of maniac emotion, was utterly stone cold unreadable.
At the sound of his voice, Eli turned back around again. As he took his time making his way over to her, she took the time to look him up and down a few times. Perhaps to make up for Majima's unreadable expression, Eli was clearly looking a little wild with anger. With her eyebrows lowered and her teeth clenched tightly together.
"Naaah." Why, perish the thought. He brushed it off with a gesture of his hand, speaking as casually as if he were welcoming back an old friend into his house. That crooked smile returned to his face as though it had never left.
Majima loosened the chinstrap on his hardhat and slipped it off. His entire body was so relaxed, it was hard to tell that he was anticipating a fight at all.
He gave the headgear in his hands an idle toss into the air, toying with it as he boasted, "How do ya like it? Took the blueprints straight from Purgatory~" His one eye cast a pleased glance about the ring, a king in his own castle. "This baby'll pay for itself in no time."
Until Majima said anything about it, Eli realized that she hadn't fully taken in her surroundings. She quickly looked the ring over and offered the man a curt nod in reply, although her expression implied she wasn't impressed with the ring one bit. "Fine," she replied.
She paused for a second, her eyes lingering on Majima's boots again. They were really... irritating her.

The man's peculiar boots didn't go unnoticed.
"Hope I didn't keep you waiting," she hissed.

"This is yours?" she asked.
