Despite all rumors of the contrary, Ganondorf was not much of a man who did a lot of preening. The good lucks and cleaning habits all came from the Gerudo themselves, and while a slight sense of pride entered the picture, he did a lot of it out of habit. After all, someone that smelled good got much better results than the King's army men who took a shower every week (or at least he assumed considering how badly they tended to smell in those armor).

So whatever cleaning he had to do, it was perhaps juts to throw some water into his face (being very careful to do it, considering the value of water to the Gerudo) from his water pot (he liked to keep things old school..and fancy), and whipping his face with a towel. Anything else, he had already done that morning. A few movements of his arms and any loose hair was swept neatly back into that overly complicated hairdo. Wow why did I write two paragraphs describing Ganondorf's cleaning habits. The walk was brief, but even the Gerudo King could realize how fast his own heart was beating. ( ... )

A clean man is a sexy man.Nibbling upon her lower lip, Nabooru had stopped before the mirror to her vanity. What had the years done to her? Not much. She couldn't see the aging in her skin. She couldn't see any changes around her eyes, but what she did notice was mostly inward. It was the gaze that really spoke of the life lessons she'd been forced to learn. It was about the only good thing that came out of being driven out of the desert. If it hadn't been for that fated moment, Nabooru would have remained as selfish and uncaring as she'd been when she'd first arrived ( ... )

He gave a slight, vague smile in return.

Actually it was more of a grin. Giving a tiny, little bow, he greeted her. Even as the voice cried out, he just buried it again, much like their dance during the ball. His mind was not important at this moment. Just his heart.

"Greetings to you as well," he replied, as his eyebrow continued to raise itself into a half-smirk. "Well, do you think me suitable enough for a talk, or shall I stand pitifully outside in this corridor until you invite me in?"

He was joking, of course.

She pretended to give the consideration great thought. Except she'd already told him he could come. Well, she hadn't said it like that, but she'd given into whatever his wish might have been. Which in this case, meant him coming to see her. "Well... If I have to..."

Nabooru moved and fully opened her door for him. Then she stood to the side and waved him in. "Stand out there and you'll make people jealous that they're not in your position. I don't let men into my room, after all." Well, she'd let Knuckles in, but that was pretty much it. And she really hadn't had any plans of inviting anyone else in.

"Come on then," she encouraged him lightly.

Silently but still grinning, he entered. Ganondorf had never been invited into her room; even back at home, each Gerudo's room was her area and her's alone, and even as a prince (and then King) Ganondorf had never been allowed in them. Of course that didn't mean he hadn't done it before, mind you, but technically, he should not have. Let's just say the few times he did it as a child, he quickly learned his lesson, as far as the privacy of the women went ( ... )
