Who: Byrne, Nabooru
What: Because clearly we don't see enough Nabooru. The Gerudo is actually taking some time to think, recover, consider the recent murder, figure out how to proceed with her future classes, figure out what to do with her sagedom... And enjoy the hot springs. Because it's been about two years since she's gone.
Where: Hot Springs

Byrne had heard about the hot springs through the grapevine. It sounded like a nice place to relax, but he knew he would have to go when no one else would be there. Otherwise it wouldn't be relaxing at all. No, he could only truly relax when he was in solitude ( ... )

On the very verge of practically falling asleep, Nabooru had been more than content. The quiet. The peace. The moment that she could be selfish and only think of herself. She could be the very centre of her universe. At least for a little. Or so she'd thought. Because no one really visited the hot springs often anyway. Again, or so she'd thought.

She stiffened a little when she heard them and sunk down a little, as though she might be able to hide just a bit. Not that she knew exactly what she was hiding from. Or she did know and knew it all too well. She couldn't decide. So finally her head turned just a bit and drew up her right hand to fix her hair.

"I don't know of many people who come to visit them. I haven't personally gone for an excursion in them for a couple years. According to here, anyway." There was a yawn that she stifled and she adjusted to grow comfortable again. "I could always go," she murmured gently. "Or you can join me. Pick your poison, Byrne."

Of course, hardly anyone visited the springs and Byrne picked the one night when someone would be there. Not just someone, though: Nabooru. Had it been anyone else, he would have immediately left, or would have said "Yes, please go," to their attempts at being polite.

"No, I won't ask you to leave. I suppose I'll join you."

He was, of course, unclothed under the towel, something he didn't do too often. Nabooru must have been naked too. Now he was curious to see that, but it was difficult with the water covering everything. Though he didn't want to actually expose himself getting into the springs, he didn't want to tell her to look away and appear to be a shy little schoolgirl of some sort.

He carefully removed the towel in such a way where his mid-region was still covered as he stepped in, and situated himself about a foot or two away from Nabooru. The situation was already awkward enough, so he didn't want to sit terribly close.

If he'd told her to go, she probably would have taken out her hairpiece and thrown it at him. She was there first. He could either learn to share or wait his damn turn. But instead, he said he was going to join her, to which she refused to redden. Her mind went into the grand number of reasons that it was completely inappropriate on many different levels. But on another, she was reminding herself that she was of the Gerudo, and her own people would probably be proud of her. If they still didn't want her dead for that treason the year and a half prior.

He didn't have to say anything to her. Her eyes instantly drew off of him and stayed off of him. Perhaps a man's nudity wasn't exactly something she was completely comfortable with. Bathing with someone was intimate. Not the same kind of intimacy as bedroom intimacy, but it was a type of intimacy and Nabooru seemed to know it. Her arms moved for her own benefit and she turned just the slightest bit away as she eyed the water ( ... )

Well this was going to be yet another Nabooru-patented awkward evening for Byrne. They were naked together in the hot springs. To be fair, she had invited him to join. If she told him to leave, he probably would have.

He did just want to relax here, but having Nabooru with her idle chatter and her tempting, naked body right there made it difficult to do so. He probably wouldn't stay too long then. However, the water felt so nice. It had been so long since he had been to any sort of hot spring, but he supposed he could go a different night.

"You don't have to fill the silence with idle chatter," he said to her inquiry. It was clearly just her way of lessening the tension, but to him it only made it worse. If they had something to actually talk about, that's one thing, but this was not it.
