Claus was already in the sunglasses he would later wear to the bar, despite the fact that the sun was rapidly setting. There was nothing fun about what Pokey did to his friends, family, and hometown. But, he was on a spying mission, and he wanted to look the part a little. That part might've been just a little fun.
"Me neither," He responded. After a moment's consideration, he pushed his sunglasses up and took another look.
There might be nothing now, but it isn't long before the boy shows up in the room, whistling a tune. He kicks the door shut again as he enters, a plastic bag under his arm that he carelessly throws towards his bed and misses by a wide margin, some of the contents falling out and rolling onto the floor. Most of it seems to be fatty snacks of some kind. Not really a surprise there. A few more items, seemingly harmless: some silly string, bleach, a pair of wire cutters. If he brought anything with him that could be immediately incriminating, it's Lash and Claus' bad luck that it hasn't shown up yet
( ... )
That did get a reaction from Lash, as she harshly whispered in an excited tone. "HE HAS WIRE CUTTERS! AND SILLY STRING! BLEACH! HE COULD MAKE A BOMB WITH THAT!" Okay more like Lash could build a bomb with that (or anything for that matter), but when one is desperately looking for anything, you sort of try to make connections.
Besides Pokey didn't seem like the type of guy who would want to bleach or clean his clothing anyway.
It didn't matter that Lash was reaching, Claus was going to eat up whatever she said about Pokey. The boy could do no good in his eyes. He looked alarmed, but determined. So the little bastard was going to make a bomb, was he? If anyone knew about bombs, it was Lash.
