What: BLIND DATES!

Where: Off-campus restaurant. AND BEYOND!
When: September 30th, 2011
Warnings: Who knows depending who is here.

Blaze definitely seemed a bit relieved now that the topic was on something a little more normal. "Must be a nice place," she reasoned. "What's it like?"

"It's small but it's such a wonderful place," he said.

"There's the train station in the south that takes you to Mt. Rugged. And there's the port to the west that leads to the ocean. It's a popular fishing spot. Ah, and Club 64 is located there too."

Speaking of his home made Parakarry's initial shyness melt away. He had traveled to so many strange and exotic places in his life but they didn't hold a candle to the fondness he had for Toad Town.

"But there food is nothing compared to Tayce T.'s cooking. She is perhaps the best cook in the entire Mushroom Kingdom. Oh, and I mustn't forget about Minh T.'s flower garden. I always liked stopping there whenever I went to work at the Post Office, especially in the spring when everything was at full bloom."

A warm smile came across his face.

As he spoke, Blaze tried to imagine the place in her mind. She nodded along with his explanation as images raced through her mind of what his home surely must have looked like. "It sounds so lovely," she told him.

"So you were a postman?"

"Yup! I worked there for maybe a little over a year before I transferred to this school. I spent some time at FDC's post office too."

Parakarry face twisted into a sour expression at the memories of the latter place. He still needed to hunt down his FDC ex-boss and kick him in the nuts.

How long had they been talking, Parakarry had forgotten that neither of them had even ordered anything yet.

"You hungry?"

"Ah, yes," she said. She finally picked up her menu and looked at it. "Do you have any recommendations?"

"Oh...well..."

A beat.

"I've never here before actually so..." Never mind that most all of his knowledge of Asian foods only consisted of the snacks that were sold at festivals and sushi.

Well. That's not good. "Ah..." She studied the menu intently, just trying to ignore the awkward air. "Perhaps I'll try sashimi," she said. She had no idea whether she'd like it, but it was something.
