It was clear to Surge that Goose had Something Very Important to talk about. Ice cream had been a decent enough excuse, considering the extreme heat of summer. There was the whole training thing with Max, but it seemed that Goose wanted to talk about something else too.

Once everything was locked up, Surge headed to the car. Goose was already there, waiting for him. Hopping in, he nodded. "Hey. Were you waitin' long?"

The hangar? Surge wasn't expecting that. But it's not like he had any plans for later. Shrugging, he replied, "Sure, that's fine by me."

As they left the parking lot, he asked, "So, you care where we go for ice cream? Just 'cause there are who knows how many ice cream places in town." He half-muttered to himself, "Why a city needs so many is beyond me..."
