Who: Rhys and Vianca What: Rhys decides to try teaching Vianca how to use a heal staff. OH BOY Where: Infirmary When: Llllet's say the 3rd of July. Warnings: None here!
The little girl looked up from her book of choice for the moment. Her routine was mostly the same in the summer as it had been in the winter, but with a higher tendency of staying indoors. She didn't mix well with the sun, after all. At least not as a little girl, but she tended to avoid running around as a plant..
But anyway. There was Rhys. Vianca looked over at him, tilting her head slightly. Yeeesss?
"A thought just came over me. I wonder... how would you feel about learning how to use a heal staff?" he invited. How the experience would turn out he had no idea, but that was part of the fun, wasn't it? First, he was curious to see her reaction.
She blinked. Learn how to use one of the healing staves? She found herself starting to look towards the direction of where Rhys kept them. Those were magical objects. If she perhaps was able to learn how to use them then... Vianca's thoughts were suddenly all a flutter, hearkening back towards all of those fantasy books she had taken a shine to. It'd be quite like they were real...
She'd seen them in action though. They were quite real.
Vianca made a quiet note of what page she was on, turning her eyes back to Rhys. She gave him a positive looking nod and shut her book. This would clearly be an interesting venture.
Vianca never had been very expressive, so Rhys was used to her stark patterns. Rising from his seat, smile having earned more curve, he told her, "Yay! That's wonderful. Let me fetch a brand new one for you." With that, he circled around the room to do exactly as his words prescribed.
With a heal staff in hands, the most basic option, he returned to where Vianca was positioned, kneeling to her unbelievably short eye level. It was laid out vertically in the beds of each hand. "Here, take it." He awaited her hands, ready to help her lift if necessary. "It shouldn't be too heavy for you, since staves are relatively light compared to most equipment. If someone as frail as I can lift it, you should have no problem," he joked. "So go ahead."
