With exams around the corner, Daisy spent some time in the library looking for books to help her study. But as she found herself with four thick books under her arms, she saw Marth sitting by himself. He didn't look to be doing all that hot, or at least a little annoyed. Like the good friend she was, Daisy decided this called for her touch.

She pulled up a chair across from him, set her books on the table, and asked, "Penny for your thoughts?"

If it hadn't been for her, Marth probably would have lost himself far too much in his thoughts. He blinked and as he looked over to her, he straightened up in his chair, crossing one leg over the other. You know, the way men sometimes do.

He raised an eyebrow at her and offered a very ginger smile, "Hello, Miss Daisy. It is good to see you given the recent nonsense with the fowl. How do you do?" He eyed her books and wondered if perhaps she was trying to do the same thing he was.

He'd have to remember to offer to carry them for her later. There was no need for a woman to carry so many books and put herself out when there was a man fully capable and willing to do so for her.

"All things considered, I'm doing well," she replied. "I'm glad that's all finally behind us, and after a nice long bath I'm much better." She crossed her arms at the elbow on the table. "How are you doing?"

He nodded in agreement and leaned onto the table, cradling his chin in the palm of his hand. "Without a doubt. I am much in the same position. I would rather not ever have a repeat of that unfortunate event."

Then he paused thoughtfully. How was he doing? Well...

"I seem to be well. It is fascinating how it has been four years and so little has changed. I come back here where it is likely less time for everyone and you all hardly look too different. I am some years older, hopefully some years wiser. I am certain you have heard it all before."

Daisy nodded. "It seems to happen a lot around here," she agreed. "But four years... I can't imagine how much has happened for you in all that time, even though I just feel like it hasn't been more than a few months..."
