Enerjak was never late. Nor was he early. He arrived precisely when he meant to.

Which was often late by many people's standards, but who counted mere minutes when they had an eternity to shape?

He sauntered into the arena, looking for all the world as though he was only vaugely interested in being here. However, secretly he was somewhat intrigued by this 'Shadow Queen'. Who was she to think he wouldn't last five minutes? Even if he were a mere mortal Echidna, that was a bold claim to make, if it was indeed made in earnest.

"Greetings, Your Highness." he said, his voice drizzled in smugness so thick you could cut it with a knife and make a hefty sandwhich with it. "Ready to put me to my Five Minute Test?"

"Always," she answered. As she spoke, swirling violet tendrils rose from the ground and encircled the girl. Behind her was a form that appeared almost as another person with flowing purple hair and a demonic smile. It was almost as if the light was being sucked out of the stadium.

"The countdown begins now." With that, a hand made of pure darkness flew towards the echidna.

"My My! So you DO have some kind of... ability." Enerjak replied, lifting off into the air to avoid the attack. "Some kind of powerful entity with a mortal vessel to better anchor you to this realm? My dear, I can relate."

His hands glowed for a second and he threw them outward, projecting spears of green chaos energy at the Shadow queen. Not terribly powerful attacks - he was intending to draw this out as much as he could.

"You believe yourself to be like me? How quaint, to assume you're on the same level as I," the Shadow Queen replied.

The shadowy hands raised to deflect the spear attacks, almost as if she was shrugging off his efforts. "You'll have to do far better than that, little man," she taunted. The hands suddenly disappeared. A moment later they were on either side of Enerjak, reaching to grab him out of the air.

"Oh, on the same level as you? Not quite." Enerjak replied, stopping his upward motion and crossing his arms to allow the hands purchase.

Let's see how much power she truly posesses.

"Come. Take unlimited power by the hand, Queen of shadows, if only to feel it once before your inevitable humiliation and defeat."
