Her thoughts where swirling with all that had happened recently and frankly, Lash didn't feel like going to Black Hole. Not one bit. One part still missing Maxwell, one part completely confused by the purple bracelets and who ended up getting them, she had spent most of that night idly packing but just poking at the large dufflebag as if it was there to burden her.
It just didn't seem exciting at all. She sat on the other corner of the main room, knees bent, arms slung over then and head buried in there.
"Door's open," she muttered, not moving from her position.
From the sound of her voice, Hawke could easily guess that she was not particularly excited or interested in the scheduled mission. It was difficult not to be perturbed at this revelation, because there were only so many convoluted distraction plans they could enact to successfully get Max out of their hair.
He entered the apartment, shut the door behind him and stared down at Lash moping in the corner.
She didn't even look up at him, just giving him a wave. It wasn't that she didn't want to go per-say either, just that the timing seemed so much unfair to her. What terrible irony. Making a test to find out who liked who, and then finding out someone you actually liked had left. The second time. Quite possibly the final time.
"Yeah I guess so," she sighed, finally looking up. "Everything's packed and ready to go." Except herself. "Shouldn't take more than a day, hopefully or else they'll really start to question things."
Yeah. That was definitely some first-class moping going on. Had it been anyone else, Hawke would not have tolerated it. But though he couldn't really empathize with Lash, he could at least try to be understanding. The CO could only hope it would not affect her performance.
Or perhaps an outing like this would be exactly what she needed.
At least she seemed ready to go, from a duffel-bag-is-packed standpoint.
"I doubt we'll take even that much time." Unless they found something extremely interesting. He extended a hand to help her up.
She grabbed on to him and let herself be pulled. Maybe she should just take this as a way to change her mind for a few. Besides, there was probably a mystery to be unraveled! ...but why did she feel so bored about it. Without more talking, she grabbed the back and nearly folded her knees from the weight of it, her mind trying to remember half of the stuff she had packed. This was pretty heavy.
"We're taking the plane, right? Should we bring the robot with us?"
