This outing couldn't of come any sooner for Parakarry. Even if it was only for a short time, he was happy to get away from the tensions that were building up back at school.

Christmas songs blared throughout the mall. The entire place was covered in lights and decorations that twinkled and glowed. The busy but strangely warm and non-hostile atmosphere was a far cry from the one back at Smash Academy.

"Well, how about uh..."

Being well, a guy, Parakarry never really had to shop for anything girl related unless a girl he knew was having a birthday or as in this case, Christmas. Because of this, he was not too sure where to go.

"How about Walmart that place over there?" he suggested while pointing to a store whose window displayed various clothes.

Watt looked over to the store and smiled. "Okay! Let's go there first!" And so, she hopped off the bench and headed towards the store, dodging the various shoppers that passed by the two of them.

The store looked much bigger from the inside rather than at first glance, and filled with racks and racks of different kinds of clothes, no less! So many different styles and so many colors! Watt's eyes couldn't get any bigger, it was like going to a candy store!

"Okay okay okay, ummmmm..." she said to herself, looking around while bobbing up and down in place. "First, let's see if they sell any coats here! C'mon, c'mon!" And so, she took Parakarry by the hand and started to search for any racks that had jackets on them.

"All right. I'm coming," the mailman replied as he tagged along from behind.

Parakarry mostly stood by as Watt looked around. He couldn't help but notice that outside of a few little boys who were with tagging along with their mothers, he was the only guy here. No one seemed to pay any notice to him however and Watt was enjoying herself so he didn't draw any attention to the matter.

It didn't take too long to find a rack with nothing but jackets on it, and thankfully they were the right size. It was now time to comb through and find all of the good ones. "Hmmm..."

And so, Watt started to look through the rack, occasionally looking from behind just to see if Parakarry was still there. After a few minutes of silence and sifting through the jackets, Watt finally spoke: "So, um, have you been getting a lot of mail to deliver lately?" It felt odd to just look through things without some small talk!

"Hmm?"

Parakarry had been busy staring at a stain on the carpet in front of him for the past three minutes. He wasn't sure if it looked more like Bootler or Huff N' Puff. when Watt grabbed his attention.

"Oh yeah. There's always a lot this time of the year but nothing I can't handle," he replied in a confident tone.

"So how's school?" he then asked.

Cookies did sound good right now. Parakarry was making a mental note to stop at the nearest bakery on the way home.

Oh wait, they were taking about presents!

"You'll get the hang of it soon," he said in an encouraging voice followed by a nod. "I haven't done much baking before so this will be good practice for me too."

And of course, if he ended up burning them he could just buy some.

"Um, I hope so!" Watt agreed. "I mean...I'm doing better at writing than I was a couple of months ago, but...hm hm hee hee, sometimes I still can't read a thing that I'm writing!" She blushed a little out of embarrassment.

"Oh oh oh, I got an idea!" she suddenly said, standing up. "Chocolate chip cookies! You could bake chocolate chip cookies!! Um, I think they're pretty easy to bake!" Then she noticed that she was standing up out of excitement (thankfully the area around them was so full of commotion so that she didn't really make a scene), and carefully sat down again. "Um, I mean, I've seen the Princess bake before, and she made it look really easy..."
