Well, in medieval times, swordsmen fought as their job. They fought mostly for their feudal lord. Or if they were of the elite, directly for the king. So I guess they could be described as "loyal."

Oh. So you meant "swordsmen" as the most basic definition of "someone who uses a sword." You should be more specific.

Under that pretense, I guess I'll go with "skilled" instead. Otherwise, you'd just end up getting killed.

I've only really known one swordsman so...

Wise and sophisticated! And really, really cool. Like, uh, in those samurai movies. Those really amazing masters of the dojos. All stern and elegant, like you wouldn't expect them to be amazing and then they totally are.

Those guys are the best.
