[[BTW, my note said I was supposed to sit at table A1, but there is no A1 in group two. I presume this is me anyway?]]

Rouge strutted into the restaurant as if half-dancing to sexy jazz music. Oh yes, whoever her blind date was, she was going to impress him. Put her feminine charms on full force. Ideally, she'd get a nice piece of jewelry out of the evening and never see the guy again! Eeeee, what a perfect evening it could be, she thought to herself.

Glancing around, she didn't yet see anyone headed to her table, so she sat down and crossed her legs in her usual seductive manner, checking her makeup in her reflection on the back of a spoon. Fun was going to be had tonight on her part, she was sure.

Still, she wondered if Knuckles really would be her blind date. It would be SOOO PERFECT........ But no, she thought, enough daydreaming. I have to look my best for my Romeo, whoever he was, and charm it up to ensure I walk out of this date with another addition to my collection.

Max hadn't signed up for this but he got a notice about it anyway. So he figured he would go just to not let whoever he was supposed to be with down.

Max had "dressed up" and by dressed up I mean he had put on a t-shirt and was wearing that blue vest thing of his. This is pretty much as dressy as he got. At least he wasn't wearing the weightlifting belt and suspenders combination.

Max looked around for his table when he saw... well... some sort of white bat lady sitting at a table. He walked over to the table that he was supposed to sit at and... extended his hand for a handshake to this strange woman. "I'm Max, I think I'm supposed to be your date."

Oh Max, how romantic.

((I am going on a 10 day hiatus starting, oh, tonight. So. Yeah. There we are. Derp. Sorry.))

Rouge blinked. This wasn't Knuckles! She hardly attempted to hide her disappointment and shook his hand.

"Rouge." She said, disgruntled. She took her hand back and crossed her arms. This date was already a huge waste of time, it seemed. But then she remembered any ol' schmuck could potentially get her jewelry, so she snapped out of her mini-tantrum and smiled at him.

"Hello, Max. Thank you for coming. It's always nice to meet new people. ♥" Oh, she was hamming it up big time.

((NP, man, whenever you get the time. :) ))

She was only going to stay here long enough to tell her unfortunate "date" that there had been some kind of mistake. Sabrina's participation in this event hadn't exactly been voluntary, and she'd hate for a willing participant to wind up being stuck with someone like her. That didn't explain why she had bothered to dress for the occasion, though. On the other hand, leaving someone at a nice restaurant like this, especially if they had been expecting a nice evening out with someone new... Sabrina may not have been the easiest person to get along with, but she wasn't that rude.

So, with a few moments careful consideration, and more than a few hesitant glances back towards the door, Sabrina took a seat at her table to wait.

Entering the restaurant, Weavile found the atmosphere to be rather pleasant. Certainly more relaxing than the previous year's blind date. That had been... an experience.

As he approached the table, he noticed Sabrina. A small smile on his lips, he nodded, "Good evening. It seems we've been paired together." Sitting down, he replied, "I'm Weavile, the guidance counselor. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Sabrina nodded in greeting, returning his smile. She had to admit to being a little relieved -- she may not have known Weavile at all, but as far as first impressions go, he was making a good one. Maybe sticking around wouldn't be so bad after all.
"Sabrina, psychic development teacher. The pleasure's all mine."

Somehow, he should have expected to be "drafted" into this little project. It annoyed him to a degree because he had been shoved into this position rather than willingly accepting it, but he was able to come to terms with himself. He should be respectful and stick to this requirement, as it was an obligation to his date, no matter how sneaky the sign-up process was. A blind date couldn't be all that bad, right? The meal would be paid for, and all he really needed to do was share conversation with the chosen lady. The night could turn out nicely after all.

Although, he had 0 experience points when it came to the dating scene. Falkner figured he would just try to play it cool. Ah! Not too shabby a place. He greeted the hostess with a smile and returned her soft dip of a bow, then scoped the tables until he found the one with his letter-number combination on it. He took a seat and awaited his date.

Maybe he was a little nervous. This was still a date. No, he could definitely do this. This would be a breeze.

Surprisingly, Hawke was here of his own volition. His chat with Weavile last round had proved to be somewhat enjoyable, and...well. He could really use a hundred dollars. So here he was again, hoping that this "date" would be tolerable, at the very least. If it wasn't, he just had to keep in mind that he was being compensated for his time and energy.

So apologies, Falkner, if you were expecting a lovely lady. Hawke found his card and his table relatively quickly, and, not recognizing the young man seated there already, walked over and extended his hand in greeting.

"Hawke. I don't believe we've met."

Oops. Falkner had been sipping water, was encountered by the appearance of a tall man with a big hand extended out to him, and stared up at him, his eyes pools of confusion. He glanced from the hand to the face. The hand, the face. Hello hand. Hello face.

...Gingerly, and with some uncertainty, he took the hand in his and shook it, then corrected his mistake. "I'm Falkner, not Hawk. ...I don't recall meeting you anywhere, either." Wait. Maybe he had seen a man like him at the school before. How could anyone forget that telltale mowhawk? Well, that didn't matter; they weren't acquainted anyway, so they were basically meeting for the first time.

Why was he here? Where was his date? He waited for this pseudo-stranger to say something more, appearing expectant.

Link was wandering throughout the restaurant, looking for the table number listed on the card he had received. He couldn't help but stare at every little thing as he looked for the table. Of course, he remembered to keep an eye out for his number while looking at everything inside the restaurant.

Ah, there it was! C4! And there was somebody already sitting at the table! She must be the person that he was supposed to go on this blind date with!

"Hi!" Link greeted Lyn happily as he took his seat across from her.

"Oh!" All right enough staring at the restaurant. "Hello!" She was so excited she was practically sparkling. WHAT IS A DATE IN THIS CRAZY WORLD? Lyn fidgeted a little in her seat and oh it was so nice to meet new people.

"My name is Lyn. What's yours?"

There was a flaw to this "find the card on the table that matches yours" deal.

Izzy had to flag down a hostess and demand to be shown her corresponding table, and that had just lead to a whole series of questions about whether Izzy was old enough to pay for this meal and blah blah blah.

WELL WHATEVER she got there eventually and was sitting haphazardly in her seat. At least that was pretty comfy.

The awkward thing about restaurants was that it was hard to tell when people were approaching your table to sit at it and not because they needed to pass it to get to another one.

B! U! T!

Eventually some stopped! At her table! Someone was taking a seat! Izzy "looked" in their direction expectantly, her arm propped up on her knee and her head leaning against her fist. That voice was... sort of hard to place.

"Sup."
