Who: Max and Vinnie and Friends What: A Gentleman's Spar Where: Smash Academy Stadium When: Tuesday, November 9th Warnings: Violence. Swearing. Swearing violence. Violence swears.
This was one fight that Vinnie had the sense and, begrudgingly, respect to show up for early. As much as he irrationally distrusted this walking mountain of beef, he had no illusions about exactly how lethal this beef could be. Max saying that he'd never lost a fight wasn't a boast many guys could claim, least of all Vinnie himself - and if it was a lie, then it was a damn convincing one. So while he showed up determined to test this potential suitor's mettle, the Venusaur's usual hot-bloodedness was somewhat grim that day

"We pick a stage and then we go at it until one of us is left standin' and the other ain't. I prefer simple stages, nothin' funny. No race cars, no rainbows, nothin' at all but just a nice, regular place that stays the same. I don't like a lotta random stuff that distracts both of us from what we're there to do."
Max you are as exciting as a block of cream cheese.
"You can pick the stage if you want, just know I don't want nothin' where we gotta jump on clouds and rainbows."
All right, that sounded straight forward enough. Vinnie didn't really know exactly what he meant by jumping on rainbows, but a lot of stuff at this school didn't really make any sense. It was probably better just to go with it than question every weird thing that came out of Max's mouth.
He breezed through the stages on the selection menu, eyes glazing over anything that didn't have the telltale green of grass and foliage. Might as well try to give himself as much as an advantage as he could. Someplace sunny, too.
So of course a stage called Green Greens caught his attention. Pretty cutesy, but it looked like it had enough room to move around in.
"There. That one." If Max wasn't going to object, then he was selecting it.

Max held his hand out to Vinnie. "Shake before the match."
Was Max trying to see how strong Vinnie's grip was? Max was trying to see how strong Vinnie's grip was.
Oh, also, that tank top? Totally visible now.
