Misty could really use a dip in the pool right now. After everything that's been happening recently, to be perfectly honest, a relaxing swim was all she needed to unwind and calm her nerves. She took to water like a fish, almost (or should it be said that she takes to it like a Goldeen or something?).
She seriously should have been born a creature with gills. Oh well. She stepped outside in one of her favorite swimsuits, her hair down and resting on her shoulders. She brought along some waterproof sunscreen to slather on and a towel. She needed to have her small preparations, after all.
But what was this? There was already something in the water. What... was that? It almost resembled a person, but there was something at the end of that body. She didn't know what it was since Neris was closer to the bottom, but it certainly wasn't a pair of legs.
Oh, was someone there? Neris swam up to the surface to greet the other with a smile.
"Hello~!" Hm, did she see her legs? She wasn't trying to hide it consciously, but there were no other people in school who was similar to her... If the other questioned it, she would just answer, that was all. For now, she was going to ignore how awkward it might be for the other and decided to move on with the conversation.
Oh wow, that was a tail! At first, Misty just had to assume, 'N-No, it's GOT to just be fake! Right?' But then she realized that this was Smash Academy. It was THIS school of all places. So many things that she didn't imagine possible were plausible here. That was just...
"I am, but," she began before promptly shutting her mouth for a moment. She was so puzzled by this predicament, but was it really at all polite to question it?
And of course, without much more thought to that, Misty reacted as she usually did at time: a bit rashly. "Is that even real?" She questioned. She wasn't really against the idea of a real mermaid (in fact, she liked the idea of that), but she was so, so confused. She was almost unable to believe it.
"Hm? Oh, this?" Neris smiled as she gestured to her fin. "It's real, alright~!"
She curiously looked over at Misty, trying to read the other's expression. She could tell she was confused, but other than that, it was hard to read. She did understand that this sight was something that this person wasn't used to seeing, though.
"Did I surprise you with it? I'm sorry if I did." She said as she used her magic to float up just enough to sit down at the edge of the pool. She moved her fin to do a small splash against the water to show the other that it was indeed real.
WOOP I hadn't noticed the other one got so big |D;;haswetpokemonOctober 5 2010, 23:31:49 UTC
"They are! Oh, and look over here!" Misty headed over to the nearby berry trees, specifically some Sitrus and Razz trees. Some berries were even sprouting from there, getting larger and getting riper. This was just the perfect time to pick them, in fact. Misty was tempted!
"These are some berry trees! They usually grow a lot where I'm from, but they're here now, too! These are Sitrus berries, and these... are these Razz berries? I think they are," she wondered, taking one into her hand. They looked delicious!

Berries? Now, that's something Neris was completely clueless about. She curiously gazed at the fruits on the trees (bushes?) and mimicked Misty's movements of taking the same berry Misty had in her hands from the tree. She turned it around in her hands, curiously gazing at it.
"There's different kinds of these?" She asked, looking over at Misty. I wonder if I could eat it...
"You might like it! Pokemon usually eat these, but they're not poisonous for humans! Or, um, would they be poisonous to fairies?" Misty pondered, a frown spreading across her face. She had no idea how fairies' bodies were. What if Neris' body rejected the berry? That wouldn't exactly end well.
"Well, I... haven't heard of anyone getting hurt from berries, so maybe it'll be okay! These berries are more dry. Do you like dry berries? They also have sour, sweet, spicy, and bitter berries," she spoke, listing out berry flavors. Misty had tried a few before. She enjoyed the berries with milder flavors, such as Oran, Pecha, Aspear, and others. Anything more than that, though, turned out to be far too strong for her, and she didn't enjoy them.
Neris certainly didn't worry about what would happen to her body if she tried. If humans were perfectly okay with them, she should be too, right?
"Hmm, I usually stay away from dry ones, but I'll give it a try!" She said with a smile at Misty, and took a small bite of the berry.
Oh. Yeah, this was dry. She took a few slow chews to get it moist as possible before swallowing it. Oh the dryness.... Perhaps if it weren't so dry, she could have enjoyed it better!
"I think dry and me don't go well together..." She said with a frown and a sniff. But other than her little complaint, she seemed just fine.

She called out to 'it.' "... Hello?!"
