After her conversation with Mac, Daisy decided to give Giovanni's class a try. So there she was, taking a seat and getting out her notebooks.

She didn't have homework. Since she wasn't there before and all.

Mica spotted Daisy come in before her "parent" did, and chirped. The teacher looked over, and rose upon seeing Daisy, the baby hopping on the desk as he did and sitting. "Ah, hello. I don't believe I've seen you before, miss. Welcome to Geology class." He walked over and extended a hand, "Giovanni Moretti, the teacher of this course."

"Princess Daisy," she said, shaking his hand. "My friend Mac told me about your class, so I thought I'd come see it for myself!"

Attendance/lurkers breaks_ground June 30 2010, 11:02:42 UTC

Voile hadn't yet found the time to actually enroll in the class. For one reason or another, she'd gotten mildly distracted by a good number of other things, mostly talks of Hoenn with Brendan, which really just couldn't happen enough. She'd come to discover just how much she missed Hoenn and how badly she wanted to return.

Alas, schooling was schooling and when she really thought about it, she didn't have anything to return to back in Hoenn anyway. At least not yet. One day that would probably all change -- inevitably, really, when she thought about it, but that day just hadn't come yet.

She'd gone to pay her respects to Giovanni, however, as she'd neglected to keep up with him. She had many things to thank him for and to remind him that she had not forgotten him. Dressed in the familiar ruffles, her expression was as neutral as it often was and she waited just inside the doorway, quiet and ever attentive.

Why yes, she could wait until his class had ended.

Mica spotted Voile and, before her owner could react, she hopped out of his lap and scurried over to Voile, chirping happily.

Giovanni's eyes followed the baby Kangaskhan to the visitor, and he smiled fondly when he saw her. "Ms. Voile! What a pleasant surprise." He walked up to the two, nodding, "I haven't seen you in a bit. How have you been?"

She smiled very kindly, more perhaps at Mica than Giovanni -- at first. Voile was naturally all kinds of radiant smiles. She reached down and pulled Mica into her arms in that everlastingly motherly way and then gave a very polite nod when Giovanni closed in.

"You've my apologies for delaying in coming to see you," she admitted, a bit sheepishly as a tint of pink kissed her cheeks. "I seem to be doing well. You look as though you are, too. Are you enjoying your class thus far?"

Silver did his homework, not for his dad or anything, but because he wanted to upstage everyone with this super cool stone he found.

To be fair, Giovanni hadn't expected the kid to even bring anything. When Silver threw it at his head showed him the rock -or rather shoved it in his face with a smug grin-, the teacher blinked, his eyes focusing, and when he saw the rock, an eyebrow shot up. Taking the stone and examining it, he gave Silver a proud smile of a father, "Figlio, do you know what this is?"

[OOC: Figlio is pronounced Fee-yo]

"It's a stone the evolves pokemon!" Yep, he didn't care to research what pokemon it evolves or anything like that. Who needs to learn how to evolve pokemon when you can just steal fully evolved ones?

Classtime/discussions/questions~ Continents breaks_ground July 1 2010, 01:58:28 UTC
"We aren't exactly certain of how the continents were formed. One theory states that it was caused by the molten rock within the earth to rise and cool repeatedly over the years until land was formed; another, from my homeland, states a being known as Groudon," Here he pressed a button on a small black remote, causing this
to be projected on the whiteboard, "created the land, and another called Regigigas," -click- "was said to have pulled the continents to their present locations. Still others believe a Divine Being created them.

"Regardless of how the Earth came to be, there are a few things we are reasonably certain about. For example, though still technically a theory because we cannot go back in time to see firsthand, Pangaea is held to be the standard based on what evidence we can gather. Fossil evidence for Pangaea includes the presence of similar and identical species on continents that are now great distances apart. For example, fossils of Lystrosaurus have been found in South Africa, India and Australia, alongside members ( ... )

"R-Regi-GIYGAS?" Jeff did not like the sound of that one bit. Even if the thing didn't look quite like a certain cosmic destroyer...

Classtime/discussion/questions~ Plate tectonics breaks_ground July 1 2010, 03:04:57 UTC
[This isn't out of order no of course not. It's before the Continents one ;3;]

After examining their homework, Giovanni walked around and leaned against his desk. "Good job, everyone. Now, last time we went over a basic overview of the material, and today we will start with a topic that leads to the rest of the course: Plate Tectonics, starting specifically with Continental Drift. For those of you who are unfamiliar, Plate Tectonics is a theory explaining the movements of the earth's crust, and what causes earthquakes. In the case of Continental Drift, it explains the movement of the continents themselves."
