Well sorry, Goose. But try having meetings with people like Misty and you'll inevitably learn a few beauty tips. Whether you wanted to or not.

For the most part, Surge was pretty oblivious to Goose's panting. It wasn't until they could finally see the cliff from afar that he noticed. Glancing back, he blinked in surprise. "Oh... Uh... Do you want to stop for a minute?"

Okay, Goose didn't really expect that last part. At all. Big ol' tough Surge mumbling that kind of stuff? Huh?

"What're ya talkin' bout?" He rose an eyebrow. Did he really want to know?

"Huh? Oh nothin'," Surge forced a grin. He hadn't even realized that he had said that part out loud. The lieutenant blamed Goose for getting him all nostalgic.

Shaking his head, he commented, "Anyway, we should probably head to bed. Gotta get up early to get back to school."

Smooth change in subject, Surge. Goose did wonder why he muttered that but okay then.

"Yeah, sure thing. Remember, you put out the fire t'night. No. Questions. Asked," He firmly stated, and yet his face lit up with this big old grin. He gave his boyfriend a kiss to his lips before heading into the tent to hit the hay.
