Arrivals go here! sportsflower August 22 2009, 01:32:15 UTC
Re: Arrivals go here! snarksterpilot August 22 2009, 01:34:25 UTC
Nester REALLY didn't want to go with this girl. He REALLY REALLY REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO GO. Wendy was already crazy enough to deal with as a person in general (and what in the world was up with her dumb ... princessy... stuff?), so this was like... the worst thing to ever happen. Ever.

He stepped into the ball room, dressed very casually in his usual black shirt and jeans combo. He didn't even bother to look too formal. Tuxedos were for sissies.

Hello, Nester. Coming up behind you are a pair of huge, buff Toads in suits. You are promptly picked up and escorted away against your will, and then returned about 10 minutes later in a tuxedo.

The toads then disappear.

ARGHHHH STUPID TOADS.

Oh well. Looks like he'll have to deal.

He just really won't like it.

Have a dance with Daisy and maybe give her a present! sportsflower August 22 2009, 01:35:09 UTC
As it was Daisy's birthday, she was expected to be the guest of honor. And so, she stood by the stairs, looking around to see everyone enjoying themselves. And she felt happy.

"Hey! Daisy!" Lash screamed before a look from a couple of royals got her to change her tune.

"I mean youuuuur hiiiighness. Here." Lash plopped down a present she had taken the time to hide behind one of the pillars earlier that day. "Here. Something not very girly."

"Thanks so much, Lash!" Daisy said with a smile. She immediately set to work opening it...

...a pair of rocket boots were lovingly placed inside, after the princess tore away at the newspaper Lash had placed inside.

"I built them myself!" she explained proudly. "They only work in small bursts, but, well...who wouldn't want a pair of these?"

The way the king was looking at her, he was hoping Daisy wasn't one of those people. Lash, of course, knew otherwise and just continued to grin.

Lash socializes with royalty and by that I mean stays in a corner things_go_boom August 22 2009, 06:03:47 UTC
This was all so high class.

Even military balls weren't this extravagant. She felt out of place, out of class and just idly ran one of her painted fingernails idly on the glass of...whatever she had been given. It didn't taste too good and was pretty warm in her throat. Gross. But at least it was something to drown the extreme spiciness of those chicken kabobs.

Jeff too had been drawn to the quiet little corner, because trying to find Lash in all the crowds had proven too difficult and it was making him a little claustrophobic. But the corner was occupied... by Lash herself. Go figure.

She... looked pretty nice. It was so strange to see her looking all prettied up and girly, even if he'd seen her similarly once or twice before. Jeff couldn't help but wonder how many death rays she was hiding, though. Just because she looked elegant...

"Um." He gave a small wave. "Hey."

"Hey." she waved back, not very elegantly, laughing a little bit. "Nice outfit. The bow tie especially. Can it spin?" It kinda reminded her of the outfit she had gotten for Maxwell a while ago...huh.

She sat down on the nearest table and scooted over so he could get his own chair.

"How has the evening been so far? Apart from the hot weather."

"Spin? What? No, but it does have a hidden camera built in." That was a lie, but he couldn't resist making the joke. It broke the tension. Plus, he knew he could get away with it with Lash and not with all the high-class types here.

He took a seat next to her and groaned. "D-don't remind me of the heat. But, uh, it's been... really awkward. I keep worrying I'll slip up and shame Daisy or something."

Bob will dance and talk about the universe with you, if you so chose. rockinthrutime August 22 2009, 11:25:16 UTC
Arceus was still looking around at the ball room. How marvelous! She adored human architecture as much as their music and facial hair. So much color and creativity!

It anyone wanted to bother her, it was the perfect time.

Hojita was minding her own special business over at one of the food tables in the ball room. As in, she was being a sloppy eater with any of the meatier dishes and appetizers.

Are you willing to interact with a munching Bulbmin girl?

Smithy's... well, okay, he's not that willing, but he's at least walking up to Hojita and raising an eyebrow at her eating habits. He may be a robot king, and he may not be able to eat, but if he did eat he would not eat that messily.

"Shouldn't you be eating a little less sloppily, young one?" he asked in his gruff tone.

Hoji looked up at the strange man, sauces from the food splattered on her cheeks, and stared for a moment. She then shook her head vigorously, the little bits of sauce on her cheeks slipping off and splashing around the general vicinity of Smithy.

"But I always eat this way!" She spoke up, her voice muffled from the food in her mouth.

If he weren't around so many people and looking suspicious around Daisy's family as it was, he'd probably had facepalmed at that.

"It's bad table manners. Especially at a royal ball. You will draw a lot of attention to yourself."
