Well, a date was a date. Lash pretty much had no idea what to expect, apart from the fact it would probably be a boy (hopefully.) She sat looking utterly bored on one side of the table, putting her left hand over the small candle and watching the flame dance.

Her mind was on other things. Jeff sounded rather sad and she hadn't had any news from Kumatora, Pit or Claus. Did they want to come? Maybe they didn't like her...Would that mean? No...she couldn't think of it like that. It made her even more confused.

UH, why was she even here?

However ended up her date would be stuck with someone that had a very short fuse. Too bad for you, mystery date.

Orange Kid couldn't wait to find out who his blind date was. Some beautiful woman who would quickly fall for him, surely. As he walked into the restaurant, he looked over to the table he was assigned.

Well... she might not be as pretty as he would've liked, but she certainly didn't look bad. She looked a bit distracted and unhappy, though. He could fix that. Orange Kid walked over to the table and said, "Cheer up, Miss. Your wonderful date, Orange Kid, has arrived!" before sitting down across from her.

It had to be a joke. Of all the guys she could have ended up with on that day...ORANGE KID? She'd heard enough of him bragging during classes, he wasn't exactly Lash's idea of a "good date." Not that Lash herself was a good girl, but she most certainly did not want to be with Apple Kid's brother or whatever stupid relation these two had.

"Lash." she replied coldly, burying her eyes in the menu.

Parakarry tapped his finger nervously against the table.

Even though he signed himself up willingly, he was having second thoughts about the whole ordeal. He never been on a blind date before and didn't really know what to expect by the person he'd been matched with. It didn't really help that he was on the shy side.

But he refused to bolt out the door out of impoliteness. So he sat there, hoping that this wouldn't end in a complete disaster.

A few minutes later, Sable quietly entered into the restaurant, feeling a mixture of excitement and worry. Just who was going to be her blind date? She scanned the tables and found her table number in no time.

Her first impression with her date was good. He looked like he wasn't the type to do anything over the top crazy, which was always good in her book! She smiled and said, "Hello," while sitting down at a chair across from him.

"Hello," Parakarry greeted politely with a smile.

He felt slightly more relieved. His date didn't seem to be crazy at least.

Max had put on a shirt, one of the ones that Colin had bought for him. The ones he couldn't flex out of. Max was so confused by these shirts; they secretly made him unhappy. But it was a white dress shirt, and it did look nice on him, as nice as a giant terrible muscleman could look in a dress shirt anyway. He wore slacks, too. Actual, honest-to-God tan dress slacks.

So he sat at the little table and looked around at the restaurant, feeling out of place and unsure as to what was happening - he wasn't sure who signed him up for this thing, but he hadn't gone around blabbing about it like everybody else had - for once he'd kept his mouth prudently shut.

((OH my god here, I thought it was a different M. sdfghsfshfsdfsd]

Amy had no idea who signed her up, but it didn't matter at all. Usually the girl would find this dim setting to be nothing short of romantic, she couldn't help but feel nervous because she really didn't want to get a date. Not yet. To be honest, she still wasn't over her crush with Sonic.

...That was when she spotted a burly blue haired man with biceps that could crush their table.

"I... ummm..."

The tiny pink haired girl stood in front of him, trying not to nervously tug on the hem of her nice red dress. I so don't want to do this. Good thing smiling came easy to her

"Hiii! I think uh, I'm your date for tonight."

Maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

((WHAT M DID YOU THINK IT WAS? MARIO? MAIKE JAWNES? MALLOW-FROM-BEYOND-THE-GRAVE? MAPPLE KID? MROBOTNIK?))

"Dang, you're real little and look like you're like 13 or somethin' I could get arrested," said Max.

He paused. "Shouldn't've said that."

Smithy really, really did not want to be here. But he really had nothing else to do that day.

Oh who was he kidding? Seriously, he did not want to be here. So why was he here? Maybe it was because of Zelda and Pit and others telling him he shouldn't 'disappoint his date,' or the fact that if they were here today and found out he had never gone, he'd never hear the end of it.

So here's a Smithy sitting at table C4, waiting to see just who would come in.

Rosalina stepped into the restaurant with Lumina in tow, taking a good look around. Peach chose a wonderful place for the blind dates; she will have to thank her personally later.

The Star Princess and Luma headed to their assigned table, only to find out who her mystery date is. And that date happens to be... Smithy?

Well, ain't that a blip.

Her first encounter with the Robot King wasn't pleasant. His talk about hurting others, Mario in particular, as well as his failed attempt at taking over the Mushroom kingdom had made her uneasy and a tad bit annoyed. But he is her date regardless of what his past intentions might be. After all, she gave Bowser a chance, so why not him?

"Hello Smithy." Rosalina replied in a polite manner before taking her seat. Lumina took her seat as well... on the table.

Well, this was a surprise. Rosalina was Smithy's date tonight. despite how badly their first conversation had ended, he still somewhat felt odd about the way she acted - she was quite bold back during their previous conversation, but unlike it usually would, it didn't make him angry. Maybe he realized she was right.

Either way it might have been, she was here now, so it looked like they were going to have to deal with it for the time being. Smithy could've left right then and there - but he didn't.

"Rosalina." was all he replied with, in a calm tone, giving her a slight nod. "Surprising that you would be my date tonight, even if I was signed up against my will."

Lighter didn't want to be here, really. But he wasn't such a jackass that he'd go and stand up whoever the hell was expecting him to show up, either. Besides, maybe there was someone sane in the school he hadn't met yet. Maybe he'd luck out. Maybe things would work out well enough. Fuel had gone too long without any kind of Mother figure. But he'd turned out well so far, and it was pretty late to start now, right? But... maybe...

Well, there was always the option of just walking out if it turned out to be someone like that damned Ganondorf kid. Ugh. He was not looking forward to the ball. What kind of bastard uses a little girl to con people into going to big fancy events like that?

Speaking of fancy, this restaurant made Lighter look and feel very out of place. At least he wasn't a total mess. He'd smoothed his hair back, anyway.

Now to wait. And have a drink in advance to make this all go easier.

[ghffhskjhjfghd;aljfh oh my god]

All right, maybe he tried to slip in unnoticed. Kyle was never too keen on this sort of thing. All he could really do was maybe just silently hope that whoever was on the opposite side of the table wasn't someone he knew and/or the lunch bear.

But hope is for chumps, so.

"Let me guess," he started and took a seat, "Ganondorf signed you up too, huh?"

((FFFF HELLO))

Oh thank god. Kyle was... normal enough. Seemed to have a fetish for paper clips, but otherwise fine. And obviously someone who didn't want to be here either. They just had so much in common!

Lighter visibly relaxed and leaned back in his chair, opening the menu. He didn't even recognize half the items in here, what the hell. "Yeah, musta been him. I know I sure as hell didn't." He dropped the menu back onto the table with a sigh. "That bastard, y'know, he's using your girl-- Melissa-- to con people into doing shit for him."
