Mir nodded. "Right!" He he could have maybe used a copy ability, but he knew he could fight without one if he needed to. So he just started down the hall after the mecha.

Tails followed after Mir, wrench at the ready. It was time to see what this mecha could do.

The mecha turned around and noticed the puffball and fox heading for it. Activating its defense systems, it aimed the gun and fired a large shot between them. When it hits, it would explode.

Mir, still running, saw the blast coming just to leap forward out of the way.

Tails may not be able to do too much, but he was able to get out of the way as well, and started to spin on the ground in ball form. He may not have the Homing Attack like Sonic has, but he can still do a spindash! He launched himself into the air at the mecha.
