((PFFF Makar totally would too, that's too cute for words))

Green looked toward the door and started chirping, hearing his parent's tiny footsteps outside the door.
Makar opened it and braced for the little plant running into his arms.

"Hi, Tubba. I hope Green wasn't too much trouble while I was gone."
Makar set the scrub in his pot by the bed, but Green didn't want to retreat into the soil so soon after Mama got home.
Seeing how on-edge his roommate was, the forest boy couldn't help but feel guilty. He hadn't really done anything to help Tubba with his problem.

"I'm sorry this ghost person is bothering you so much... Maybe there's some magic we can do to keep her from sneaking up on you...?"

The chirping didn't quite register with him, but he jumped and spun around as the door opened, despite all knowledge that Bow couldn't care less about doors. His nerves calmed slightly as he saw Makar though, and his breath escaped in relief. "H-he's been good lately."

A sigh escaped his lips at Makar's suggestion. "Magic? I don't know, I went to see Merlee once, and she said I was a hopeless case," he remembered, that perplexed sad look just escaping the darkness under her hood.

"That's kind of sad... I don't think anyone's truly a hopeless case. Maybe she just couldn't do anything for you by herself.

Hey, you know what I bet would help you sleep better? A dream catcher, so you won't have nightmares! That'd probably keep out bad ghosts, too."

Tubba Blubba remained quiet at Makar's assertion; he wasn't sure if he agreed or not. She was an awfully powerful magic user if you paid her enough, and he'd paid more than that.

"A dream catcher?" He had to admit, he hadn't considered any remedy possible for the nightmares. It would be nice not to wake up in a cold sweat every night or two. "Um... how do you make them?"

"I'm sure there are lots of ways, but at home we usually made them out of twigs and string, and they made... kind of a net. And then you decorate it with seeds and feathers and hang it on a wall or window to keep out bad dreams!"

Makar tended to be a bit messy in his room, and with Green and Bulbasaur there as well, there was a lot lying around on the smaller boy's side that fell under the general category of "yard waste." Mostly nice-looking sticks that he figured he could turn into violin parts, or other projects, like now. Fishing out some twigs and some spare violin string (of which he most likely had several miles,) the elf got to work on bending a twig into a round-ish shape and tying it together.

"Hmm... How should we make it special? Any ideas?" :D

Considering that the solid wall hadn't managed to keep Bow away, he didn't really see how sticks and string would, but... if Makar believed it would help, giving it a chance couldn't hurt. "I don't have any seeds or feathers, if those are the only things that work," he said, digging out a box of old things from under his bed, looking for anything special he might be able to add.

"Any little thing works. Maybe you have some kind of good luck charm?"

He thought deeply for a moment, and as sad as it was, he couldn't think of a thing. When was the last time he'd been having good luck? Never, as far as he could tell. But... he didn't want to make things any more depressing. Makar was so excited about the idea, and he didn't want to let him down. He searched more frantically through the box, not finding much but old clothes and notes. A flash of metal? He pulled Yakkey out from the box. The key was no longer sentient, having lost its magic ages ago, and it hadn't exactly brought him good luck, but... it would have to do, there wasn't much else in the box. "Here," he said, holding out the ornate key as he stuffed the box back under the bed.
