Why was she doing this? No, really. Why was she doing this? Voile was very careful, very contemplative, very precise, and very meticulous with her work. It went the same for all things, so even with beginning sewing, there was a strand of perfectionism that she simply couldn't get away from.

Her green eyebrows furrowed as she eyed the clothing before her and she looked over to the gyroid, who she was sure was trying to inch its way off of her desk. She stared for a few moments, and when she decided it was simply all in her head, she heaved a sigh and did what she could to carefully slip the sleeves of a shirt over the gyroid's arms.

And proceeded on awakening it. In her haste, she tapped it a few times with her right hand's fingertips. "S-stop it, please."

Another Gyroid activating and Sable was on her way towards the desk. Although at a glance she noticed Voile’s fine handiwork, for now she was paying more attention to the moving object in front of them. “Oh dear, is it not listening to you?” she asked with concern, eyeing the Gyroid.

If someone had forwardly asked Voile, she would have said the gyroid was dancing. Not that it... was. Or it could have been and that was its personal interpretation of dance. Either way, it was unnaturally moving and causing a good bit of difficulty for the aspiring seamstress.

"Uhm. Not really," she began somewhat sheepishly. Long fingers reached out again and tapped at the gyroid carefully. "Maybe I'm not doing it right..."

“Hm…let me try for a moment.”

Sable carefully turned the Gyroid so that it was facing her, then tapped the Gyroid on the head.

It was still moving.

She tried again, this time with a bit more force in her paw.

Still, nothing. The taps didn’t faze this Gyroid.

She tried once more, this time practically slamming her paw down on the top of the model’s head.

Finally, the Gyroid came to a standstill. Sable sighed and carefully turned the Gyroid back over to Voile. “There, that should do it. I hope.”

Voile watched Sable go back and forth with her guessing and checking and just about jumped out of her chair when she just about smacked the Gyroid on the head. She blinked a few moments later and once she gathered up her courage again, she smiled appreciatively.

"Thank you," she began sheepishly. "I'm sorry for the trouble. I'll be more careful." She held up her repaired shirt to the Gyroid model, cautious and wary. Then she tipped her head, as if getting a better idea of how it would fit it.

“Oh don’t worry, it’s not your fault,” Sable said calmly and with a smile. Hopefully she didn’t freak the Gardevoir out with that last slam, even she was surprised by what she did!

She gestured to the repaired shirt. “By the way, you’re making great progress! I wanted to say that sooner, but I wanted to take care of that Gyroid first.”

Voile brightened up at the praise, because apparently that was exactly what she ran on. She smiled, delighted that she was doing well, held up the shirt to give it further analysis, and nodded.

"Thank you! I've never really sewn before, but I know a little about clothes and tailoring and accessories. I think I'll be better at coordinating it as an entire ensemble than one piece at a time." Then she scratched at her cheek idly. "A-anyway! I'll continue doing my best!"

"I understand, it can be just a bit easier to work on something huge than with just one individual piece. I've had projects work like that on me before!" Sable replied.

"All right! Let me know if you have any more questions, I'll be around."

Voile's smile grew and she nodded to Sable. "Thank you for all of your help, Miss Sable. I'll let you know if I need anything else."

She paused momentarily and then tilted her head, "If you need any help, I'd be happy to assist as well." No matter how teacher's pet that sounded. Not that Voile knew what's a teacher's pet was to begin with.

"Oh, how thoughtful!" Sable remarked. "I do appreciate the help. I'll let you know if I need any assisting with things."

Her smile stayed and she nodded again to Sable before returning her attention onto the Gyroid and her neatly sewn shirt. Maybe this class wouldn't be so terrible, after all. As long as she didn't make an army of Gyroids come to life and go all over the place.
