SMAP donated over 400 million yen in private

Our reporters found out that the 5 members of popular group SMAP has donated individually to Japan Red Cross, totaling to over 400 million yen. They did not make donations as SMAP, rather, they volunteered in private, individually, to donate the money after the earthquake. If possible, I think I adore them even more.

You can truly feel their connection to their country and how much they stand as a symbol for Japan (I think). Watching their earthquake/tsunami relief-themed broadcasts/appearances, it is obvious how much they feel...)

They were deeply affected by the disaster; donating such a huge sum shows how rooted they feel to their homeland.
