Australians, by and large, are a bunch of wankers. I mean, they voted in Howard and his cronies for 11 years. Not much more to say, is there?

But Penny Wong is a definite good move, in terms of bringing representation of minorities into Parliament. I don't know how she will turn out yet, but better representation of a variety of Aussies and Aussie lifestyles can't help but be a positive step. Parliament has been a WASPs nest for way too long.
