I just got all excited to hear that finally someone had proven that most modern art is just a little too abstract to show true vision and talent. Prove it for yourself by submitting your kid's artwork to an art exhibition. Okay, so the trick is to them an expensive canvas and some fantastic paint and let them at it. Did you see the chaser episode where they tried to get rid of their hard rubbish by leaving it in art galleries (with a little placard explaining the concept of the artwork)?

Ah, I'm not saying that modern art isn't art. And I'm not saying I don't like it. I often quite like what it looks like. I like some of this kid's work, too. Seriously considering getting my own kids to do some art using expensive materials (when I have kids).

All I'm really saying that you can't often find the meaning in modern art. You can't even prove there was meaning in a lot of it. That and there's no reason why someone with no artistic skill/talent can't do something just as good.
