This is the second check in post!!! Much like the first all you have to do is post a comment with the form. It's not mandatory but you should remember that rough drafts are due soon. You do need 7000 words in less than a month! So if you need some encouragement or motivation or just want to talk about it this is the place to do it. Don't worry if

Title: Alt 8/Before Oliver/Morning After
Genre: Rom/Com
Brief summary: I tend to work on two stories at the same time. The first story is the main focus of my attention. The second story is usually a throw away that I work on when I get stuck on the primary story. Confusing? Maybe. It's my process. It makes sense to me. Morning After is the first story I started on with the 12K word count. I wanted to write something fun within the structure of the S9 framework. I still like it, but it is coming along slowly. Alt 8 was supposed to be an unsticking story going off the rescue from Black Creek with Oliver and Chloe teaming up to hunt down Lex behind Clark's back. Unfortunately, the characters just refuse to do anything but sell their fake relationship and flirt with each other (damn them!). They haven't gotten around to looking for Lex or figuring out that they are not on the same page about what to do about Lex when they find him. Before Oliver was meant to be angsty and full of conflict (thus, forcing me to ( ... )

Title: Play Forgiveness (working title)
Genre: Futurefic romance
Brief summary: A friendship is rekindled when the president calls on Superman for help.
Something you're having trouble with: Finding time because my startrekbigbang is hovering at 60K
An excerpt of your story:
"I'm just trying to understand your motivation," Clark says. "If I don't get credit for this, neither do you."
"I don't expect any," Lex says. "Is that why you help people, for the notoriety?"
"No," Clark says, "but it's--" He stops talking and sets his jaw.
"Why you think I would," Lex finishes. He gives a slow shake of the head and sits back on the couch, a surprisingly vulnerable position, Clark thinks. "It's moments like these that make me glad I can't remember the kind of person I was. I don't think I'd like him much."
"You weren't all bad," Clark says.
"Well, no one's all bad," Lex says, "just like I'm sure you're not all good. There's likely a hint of darkness in you somewhere ( ... )

Title: Domestic Misfortune
Genre: Domestic fluff (AU Clex)
Brief summary: Getting together is the easy part, staying and living together is the hard part.
Something you're having trouble with: finding time to write. The story is slow to get written, but it's more a problem with me than issues in the writing (at this stage. That is always subject to change)
An excerpt of your story (sentence or paragraph is fine): [may or may not be the opening paragraph:] Clark thinks it would be nice if he and Lex could have started off as friends. Maybe Lex could have come to Smallville when Clark was eighteen and they could have gotten to know each other over time. Had a slow and easy courtship. Maybe Clark could have tumbled Lex into the hayloft, or let Lex tumble him.
