May I sign up to be both an author and an artist?
Wow, you're talented!  As long as you can meet the deadlines for both challenges, you are more than welcome to sign up for both.

So I can use any pairing or moresome I want, right?

Psst - i think one of the dates is a carry-over from last year. in the how do I post section, it mentions drafts due in june, which i believe s/b august this year. i nearly panicked!

Damn! I thought I'd caught them all. Thanks for the heads up. All changed, and sorry for almost inducing a panic.

I was actually putting that into the sign-up post, but it would be a good idea to have it in the FAQs, too. Thank you so much for the reminder

If however, you do decide to quit the challenge, there is no penalty, as long as you do it before an artist selects your story to do art for.

That implies there is a penalty for dropping out after an artist has been selected. What would that be?

Gen, Het, and Slash are all welcome.

It would be nice to add femslash and moresomes to that list as well.

The penalty would depend on why the artist was left high and dry. Serious RL issues always come first. Poor time management, leaving an artist to have work he/she has no story for would lead to not being able to participate the following year.

I've actually add the femslash already, but I'll add the moresome up there, too. Thanks for thinking of it.

Thought it worth noting that I couldn't sign up until I joined the comm, but LJ wasn't giving me that as an error message -- it was just telling me that I hadn't entered a username in the comment form. ... Which a) I was already signed in, and b) when I did fill it all out manually -- while signed in -- it still said the same thing. So. Worth noting, in case anyone has any sign-up issues!

I appreciate you bringing this to my attention. As I am only borrowing this comm, I had no idea it was set up that way. I have changed it, so anyone may now comment. Sorry you had difficulties, and thanks again for letting me know.

Hi! :)

If I come up with an idea that is part of a series I've already got ongoing, is that okay? What I mean is a general concept (Clark told Lex his secret and they've been partnered ever since) and would not require people to read any previous entries in the series.

Sure, I think that sounds fine. Thank you for asking first.
